THE ULTIMATE BODY CHALLENGE
How accepting are you of your body? I'm guilty, I've spent most of my life hating my body, and was once anorexic. For years, I have been searching for a way to get the results I want without starvation and hours of exercise everyday. And I've have found that it's a combination of:
- Super Healthy Eating
Some of you may find that list easy, I do not. I have my moments when I fall out of them, and that is part of my Love and Acceptance for myself, but the hardest one of all is really the Honesty. We cannot really love our bodies if we are not actually present in them.
Lately, I've been challenging myself to really see my body when I'm working out - revealing the areas of my body I am so self-critical of. This exercise has allowed me to really face my body and work on developing a love for it. It has also helped me improve my body awareness. I can easily observe when I am slouching or breaking form, not engaging in certain muscles, and where imbalances are occurring.
So my challenge to you (and myself) is to start really shedding those layers this Spring and start to uncover the beauty and truth of your body. Our studio is meant to be a judgement free zone, in which we share in the fun of health and movement with greater awareness and intellect, so that we can become free to live life courageously!
